First narrative: This narrative is dominant and authoritative, has a clear structure, is inflexible, adorned, and in a word, it is suitable for the daily consumption of society.

Second narrative: This narrative is simple and straightforward; it unfolds without a plan; it is continuous in motion; it is rational and acceptable. Within these narratives, I/we are in rotation, bouncing from one side to another; there is no starting or ending point; accepting each one reconstructs us;

Trio as it appears from its name, consists of a group exhibition which takes place by a cluster of three artists attending. Best Employing the space that the gallery has to offer, three distinctive sections has been allocated to individual attending artists to put up their statements alongside their exhibits. Trio especially appropriate in case of exclusive and limited art works or in case of works by artists with distinctly nonconformities leanings.

I return from the studio; it’s nearly six o’clock. I contemplate the last painting in this series, which remains half-finished in the studio’s silence. Suddenly, my mind empties, and I look around; rows of shoe shops in Darvazeh Dowlat, and shopkeepers standing next to motorcycles. It’s strange that all these repetitive images don’t feel repetitive to me. A man approaches from the front, carrying a Sangank bread in his arms. Five steps behind him, two steps to the right, another passerby holds a child as if they have descended from the sky, appearing before my eyes. Again, my mind becomes heavy with thought. I reflect on the image of the two men holding a shroud in the silence of the studio… Perhaps the reason these repetitive images don’t feel repetitive at all is just that: they’re like being swept away by a flood; a repetitive occurrence that each time evokes a different thought; another thought.

About Gallery :

This collection is a response to the theme of “soul” and “history”; therefore, at times, I have delved into history and pursued what has come and gone, leaving an imprint on us. I have placed myself in the role of an observer; sometimes, through closed eyes, the eyes of others, the life of others, whether lying beneath the earth or filled with prosthetics, I have searched for landscapes. I have been captivated by beauty and lost in gardens and flower-filled meadows. In our contemporary history, there are many mournings that have never had the opportunity to occur. These mournings linger in our collective unconscious and, more than death itself, distance us from life. Behind these mournings, there is always a profound sense of sorrow and great shame, and this is why the ecstasy of life cannot be present in all our moments. So, I have learned that in that moment, that very moment when you are supposed to conquer the world, everything suddenly trembles and falls apart. Those times when light, color, and life are self-evident, suddenly “not seeing” becomes a refuge from the form and shape of the world. And now I know that while “seeing” is life-giving, witnessing the suffering of others is life-consuming. For those unnamed martyrs, Silent without a grave, The departed at dawn unseen, In memory of the broken or unmarked tombstones, I have placed flowers in the realm of imagination and wished for a garden.
 
 
 
 
 
 

Ghizh

The initial formation of this exhibition was based on the idea of how one can perceive a situation from multiple perspectives. A situation that we call “GHIZH.” “GHIZH” is derived from the present participle of the verb “GHIZHIDAN,” meaning to burrow and drag oneself hard on the ground. In its nom- inal and colloquial sense, it refers to the long journey of a “hard” body in space. The “GHIZH” situation is a tough one; it’s a situa- tion in which we find ourselves trapped, and we’ve struggled for years to break free. The “GHIZH” situation is a temporary situation that takes on a permanent form, engulfing us, stopping time, and each time something is gained, it discards many existences. The “GHIZH” situation is a contradictory one; contradictory perceptions, contradictory emotions, contradictory facts. The “GHIZH” situation is a state of confusion; decisions that are correct today may be perceived as wrong tomorrow. What is certain today is not even probable tomorrow. Uncertainty is a word that manifests itself every day in some aspect of life. In the GHIZH situation, life seems impossible, but the living have made it possible, as if they hold fire in the palms of their hands, they move forward and miraculously do not burn up.

I have always stood before doors, whether they be fashioned from weathered wood or unyielding metal, whether they guard lofty towers or weathered abodes of antiquity. In each encounter, the doors that have beckoned me, in one way or another, have remained firmly shut. Beyond their tangible form, their essence has transported me elsewhere—a realm where past, present, and future intertwine. I imagine those who came before me, those who stand beside me, and those yet to come, pondering these doors as I do today. Our lives are entwined with doors, perpetually closed or relentlessly pursued, as we yearn for the day when fortune or happiness shall grace our lives. The doors, in their diverse forms, define and redefine us, based on our societal stature, position, or station. With each encounter, whispers from within us arise, desires take shape, words form sentences, and longings find expression, unwittingly etching their marks upon these surfaces. Their contents metamorphose into nostalgic memories, eliciting the bittersweet refrain of “if only it could be relived,” or bestowing upon us an illusory golden history, emerging from the ruins of our existence, or perhaps an elusive future forever beyond our grasp.

Armed with this perspective, in every city I traverse, I capture the essence of doors through my lens and partake in the warm and chilly conversations of its inhabitants. Who knows, perchance one day a storyteller shall unlock the untold tales concealed within these doors.

What a lost image! What a brilliant showcase of the hopes of the future on the ruins of the past. I say the image of the industry and its structures all over this earth, which has subjugated our entire existence, from small to large. A semicolon that cannot be continued or left alone. How lucky we are!

We cannot close our eyes and be silent, nor can we accept understanding. Interwoven layers that have gone far. A vague mechanism that, while making living impossible, also makes our living possible. Living disillusioned with tomorrow and immersed in spending the present moment. An image that has defined the intersection of workers and consumers. One has bread pain and beats the drum of growth, and the other consumes as much as possible until it ends. This never-ending cycle continues, and I sit in front of it each time looking for an explanation that doesn’t lead to a semicolon.

This sacred realm is a process from the mundane to the divine;

Manipulated Reality

About Gallery :

This collection feeds on past and present wars and political and social events. I took a satirical approach towards the “Manipulated Reality” that intrigued me, in my ongoing quest for the concept of ‘visible and concealed,’ to portray these events from this perspective. The layering of the artworks and the choice of transparent and semi-transparent surfaces, which reveal parts of their background either clearly or ambiguously, serve this purpose, as it is in this layering that meanings are always perceived as incomplete or altered. Initially, I chose silk-screen printing for its documentary and realistic representation qualities for the background images. Gradually, these documentary images were removed to allow the influenced imagination of social events to be depicted more freely and openly on the transparent canvas.
