Siege Encirclement

May 14th- June 5th

About Gallery :

I have always sought to create order and balance in the structure of my work to construct an image of my inner world; an order that I have attempted to express in this collection through the use of juxtaposition of elements. However, as societal preconceived balances crumble, the balance within my mind has also been disrupted. Despite this instability, achieving symmetry and, consequently, balance was no longer a simple task. In these moments of instability that have made me more inclined towards existence than non-existence, boundaries that previously existed have once again become apparent, and this time, I must transcend them. These boundaries hinder balance, so I see only one way forward:

“Siege Encirclement.”

The Third Phenomenon

May 14th- June 5th

About Gallery :

The foundation of meaning lies in dialogue; one must delve into the text of everything and unravel it. The idea for organizing this duet exhibition began when I encountered the works of two artists, artists who, in two corners of this city, had created works without any knowledge of each other, which sat in a silent conversation within the text of a shared world. I, as the third side of this conversation, in the face of the works of these artists, tried to explore the ’empty spaces,’ the ‘untouched,’ the ‘silences,’ and the ‘murmurs’ of the world of their works. In confronting these works, I attempted to create a third meaning, a sense of re-opening towards meaning, or ‘seeing differently’ within the text of the world of their works, which signifies the manifestation of the essence of the present era, thereby bringing forth other aspects of truth within these works.

Condition: Unstable

May 14th- June 5th

About Gallery :

Dark days, bright nights. I always thought the world was a vast place, but in those days, everything had become the farthest point of the world for me. Colors had faded from my distant view. Everything had narrowed down to the dimensions of the four walls of my room. The only thing I knew I had was that moment. I had laid everything on the ground with my hair. I was empty. I had nothing to lose except the life I wanted to. Seven hundred and thirty long nights, I had felt the scent of poison and the tolling bell of death up close. It tasted bitter, but its heavy shadow showed me the path to light.

In times of shock and confusion, time passes differently. It rushes by so quickly, with waves of fear and sorrow following one after another, and yet it moves so slowly as if nothing ever reaches an endpoint.

How does the artist’s mind freeze a moment to grasp the transitioning state? How does the artist’s mind discover new chaotic conditions?

You Made Me Bloody Red

May 14th- June 5th

About Gallery :

The beginning of this collection dates back to the year 1399(2020-2021), with my focus on the concept of ‘pressure.’ I was going through a difficult period, so challenging that it felt as if I had been imprisoned within a cell of my own body. I was experiencing something that many of ‘us’ had experienced before ‘me.’ The experience of ‘pain’ consumes us; It pressed us so hard that nowhere was safe, and the body carried an excessive burden that shifted in vain, bearing the vessel of endless suffering.

I found wood. The innocent wood, and how it compacts under the pressure of the printing press, resists. I and it engaged in an ongoing, wordless dialogue. The wood led me to the branches, to the young and bloodless stems nurtured by sharp blades, to the faint blood of innocent barberries on the whiteness and darkness of the paper.

I was the lonely tree, its stem, its thorn, and its flower, and the blood that remained on the printed paper. I was everything; I shattered the cell and set myself free.”

Transitional Object

May 14th- June 5th

About Gallery :

A transitional object is applied to something that serves as an intermediary for the formation of a third world. This world breaks the boundary between fantasy and reality and resides in a place between the two. Concerning the audience’s relationship with the media, this transitional object also transports the audience away from their everyday engagements and immerses them in the world of their imagination.

Entanglement

Entanglement

The image of the human body is a form of visual confirmation of our identity and self-awareness. We (physiologically) know what we are or how our bodily organs function, but as soon as the unity of this familiar source is disrupted, the sense of certainty and recognition gives way to ambiguity, doubt, and questioning. Considering the potential of the body, when it must cease movement and become lifeless, it will inevitably lead towards decay and corruption.

Entanglement” abstractly represents the body as a subject with a formalist perspective, detached from all functions and complex systems or figurative representations. A body composed of masses of skin and muscle, tension and interweaving of veins and arteries, with a porous texture. This kind of perspective opens a new window into the concept of self, which will question the meaning of being and existence. An existential perspective that, as Erwin Yalom puts it, humans have struggled with unresolved sufferings throughout human history in the four contents of death, loneliness, emptiness, and freedom.
